Plasma in digital printing

Plasma in digital printing improves the adhesion of inks and varnishes to a wide variety of materials such as wood, glass and plastic.

Digital printing has gained in importance in recent years, especially in industrial printing. This is mainly due to the fact that significantly higher process speeds, larger printing widths (large format) and small series or even individual production are possible. All in all, faster and more cost-effective printing is possible than with conventional printing processes.

Particularly when printing on plastic, full-surface wettability of the printing surface is indispensable. This is achieved by plasma treatment, which leads to fine cleaning and simultaneous activation of the surface. The end result is a long-term stable adhesion of the printing inks and varnishes.
