Workshop: Efficient process design for the coating of polymer surfaces – component cleaning & coating
On 25.01.2018 our expert Dr. Dariusz Korzec will attend a workshop in Dresden on the treatment of polymer surfaces. He will talk about the following topics: problems and solutions in plasma treatment of polymers before coating.
During coating, increasingly higher demands are made on the quality of the surface. Both the component quality and the component functionality are determined to a high degree by surface properties such as surface energy, material permeability at the surface, electrostatic charge, purity and the presence of reactive groups on the surface. Accordingly, all relevant manufacturing processes must be specifically adapted to these requirements and the materials used in order to ensure product quality and at the same time produce efficiently. This requires an overall view of the component manufacturing process chain. In the workshop on efficient process design, we will therefore include material properties, cleaning, pretreatment and the coating process in the considerations © EFDS.
The workshop is equally aimed at
- Manufacturer of coated plastic components
- Users of surface technology and contract coaters
- Mechanical and process engineers
- Surface analyst
- Interested parties for decorative and functional coatings
The workshop is organized by the European Research Association for Thin Films – EFDS with the platform “Wet Chemical Cleaning for Surface Technology – NassRein” in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP, the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid, Aurion Anlagentechnik GmbH and the Professional Association for Industrial Parts Cleaning – FiT.
